The Dingle Peninsular in 2012 is potentially the sixth venture to the Emerald Isle for Hornsea club members and I’m confident that this stunning area of Eire will provide great walking combined with some spectacular site-seeing by vehicle plus memorable craic.
Due to Irish laws self-drive hire vehicles are limited to nine seats. Therefore, it may be necessary to hire two vehicles (Ford Galaxy or VW Touran) to allow for luggage. The hire plus fuel will be in the region of £70 per person for a six-day stay based on a party of ten. I will calculate a more accurate cost for transport once the final size of the party is known.
Ryanair is currently advertising a one-hour flight from Liverpool to Shannon for £65 return departing Liverpool at 14.45 hours on Friday, 12th October and returning from Shannon at 16.10 hours on Wednesday, 17th October.
The drive from Shannon is approximately 100 miles across the stunning Irish countryside to Dingle Town where our digs will be in the Bambury’s Guesthouse.
