NORTH YORKSHIRE MOORS & COAST Moorsbus logo NOTE: Since Moorsbus Services were cut back due to withdrawal of council funding in 2013, there has been something of a revival due to the efforts of 'Friends of Moorsbus'.
Several bus companies provide Summer Sunday services to the Moors (Danby, Helmsley and Pickering) from York, Darlington and Middlesbrough on behalf of 'Friends of Moorsbus'. Buses once again serve Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, Rievaulx Abbey, and Rosedale.
East Yorkshire Motor Service operates a 'Moors Explorer' on Summer Sundays & Bank Holidays from Hull and Beverley to Pickering, Kirkbymoorside, Hutton-le-Hole and Danby (Moors Centre).
NOTE - none of these services are running in 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic

Access Land Symbol
Where possible, Dales Trails day walks are being revised and will include the latest access information if relevant.

Red Kite Country
Following the successful reintroduction of Red Kites into Yorkshire at Harewood, these magnificient birds can now be sighted on the Yorkshire Wolds.
On 'Walks with Underwood', where you see my 'Red Kite Country' logo, look out for these large birds soaring on the wind - easily identified by that characteristic forked tail.
